The YMCA is Canada’s largest camp provider. The YMCA of Three Rivers is proud to offer overnight camp experiences at three beautiful locations: Camps Belwood (Fergus), Ki-Wa-Y (Waterloo), and Waabanaki (Huntsville).

Accommodations
At YMCA overnight camps, campers enjoy a welcoming and supportive environment with rustic, cozy cabins designed for comfort and camaraderie.
Cabin Living: Each cabin accommodates 8–10 campers and 2 trained counsellors, providing a safe and positive space. Traditional log bunk beds with mattresses and ample storage for personal items ensure campers feel at home.
Washrooms: Flush or composting toilets and running water are a short walk from all cabins. Camp Waabanaki includes a unique ‘Morning Dip’ experience with biodegradable shampoo and conditioner for eco-friendly hygiene.
Counsellor Support: Our counsellors are available 24/7, fostering a nurturing environment and ensuring every camper is cared for at all times.
All-Gender Cabins: We proudly offer all-gender cabin options at Camp Ki-Wa-Y, designed to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone. Campers can choose between all-gender and single-gender accommodations during registration.
A Typical Evening
As the sun sets, campers wind down with a structured and comforting bedtime routine:

A trip to the washhouse for brushing teeth.

Cabin check-ins led by counsellors, reflecting on the day's highlights.

Quiet time tailored to the age group, including reading, songs, or independent relaxation.

Counsellors are always on hand during the night to assist campers as needed, supported by our round-the-clock support staff.
Meals at Camp
Fueling the fun is our priority! Campers enjoy delicious and nutritious meals in a welcoming dining hall setting.

Dining Style: Meals are served family-style or buffet, fostering a sense of community.
Dietary Needs: Our modern kitchen accommodates a variety of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, halal, and allergy-sensitive options.
Tuck Shop Treats: For a little extra sweetness, campers can purchase treats from the Tuck Shop.

Camp Belwood is the perfect home away from home! Sharing a sunny three-acre site with our Camp Belwood Day Camp, it is a vibrant place to build community and lasting connections. Campers enjoy classic activities that foster responsibility, independence, and compassion. The lake is ideal for kayaking and canoeing, while the pool offers a refreshing swimming option.
New in 2025 – We’ve listened closely to your feedback about accessibility and availability and made some updates to the Camp Belwood 2025 offerings. We challenged ourselves to think differently—and we’re excited to introduce meaningful updates designed to enhance the camp experience for your family.
Intro to Overnight Camp: We’re introducing 3-night overnight camps for ages 6–12, perfect for first-time campers. Running Monday to Thursday, these sessions offer favorite activities at a lower fee for a gentle introduction to overnight camp.
Optional Bus: We’re introducing a bus service from Waterloo for an additional fee, making drop-offs and pick-ups more convenient for families.
Increased Day Camp Spots: The demand for day camp is enormous, and we know there’s nothing better than a lakeside experience like Camp Belwood. We’ve changed our model and will have space for double the day campers next summer!

Camp Ki-Wa-Y

Camp Ki-Wa-Y is located on the west shore of Paradise Lake, just outside of St. Clements. Ki-Wa-Y's 77 acres of gorgeous landscape feature over 25 acres of naturally wooded and truly beautiful forests. A spectacular surprise just 15 minutes from Kitchener-Waterloo. YMCA Camp Ki-Wa-Y offers a variety of activities and experiences to suit all ages and interests, and gender inclusive cabin options that are welcoming and supportive to all campers.

Campers have the opportunity to choose their own adventure and spend more time doing what they REALLY like through program streams. Choose from the following streams:

Camp Waabanaki, nestled in the heart of Muskoka, is celebrated for its iconic waterfront setting, which includes both mainland and island areas, an inflatable waterpark, exciting sailing opportunities, and a thrilling diving tower. Surrounded by majestic maple forests, towering pines, and dramatic granite cliffs, it overlooks the crystal-clear, deep-blue waters of Lake Vernon. Located just outside Huntsville, Ontario, Waabanaki spans a picturesque 40-acre site, featuring a large and small island and 23 acres of mainland.
Our one-week and two-week overnight programs invite campers to explore some of Ontario's most breathtaking landscapes through Canoe Out Trip adventures tailored to their ages and experience levels. Campers gain valuable skills such as water safety, nature and weather awareness, navigation, ‘Leave no Trace’ principles, and outdoor living techniques. These memorable journeys include camping in tents and paddling from campsite to campsite each day, fostering a deep connection with nature and a sense of adventure.
